Bend High Student

Luke was born and raised in Bend, and he appreciates the unique childhood that Bend offers. He enjoys spending time outdoors running, swimming, dirt biking and golfing.

Luke is a proud Lava Bear in his Senior year at Bend High with varsity letters in track, cross country, and Nordic skiing. He is also participating in student government and is on track to graduate with an International Baccalaureate diploma.

Outside of school, Luke is employed at the FootZone in Downtown Bend as a Fit Specialist, where he can share his enjoyment of running with the community. Luke has volunteered with Sparrow Clubs in the past as a part of his 8th grade community project at Pilot Butte Middle School and he has also volunteered with The Giving Plate.

Last school year, Luke worked with the Bend High student government on the BSH Pageant, a fundraiser for their school Sparrow, Marlowe.

Luke was in the audience when his dad competed in Swinging with the Stars in 2019 and he is very excited to get the same opportunity, as well as the opportunity to raise more money than his dad!

Bex-Basada is a multi-platinum touring recording artist with over 35 years of dance training, covering various styles from ballet to hip-hop. She was a notable participant as the runner-up on NBC’s triple threat competition “Fame,” where she showcased her talents alongside the legendary Debbie Allen. Bex soon took her training to MTV’s “Making the Band 3” where Sean “Diddy” Combs chose her to be in the chart-topping group Danity Kane.

In addition to her musical achievements, her impressive career has blessed her with many unique opportunities with experiences spanning from the basketball court as an NBA Dancer for the Portland Trail Blazers to GMA, Jimmy Fallon’s late-night show and the NFL Super Bowl Kickoff show. Beyond her performance accolades, she has also excelled as a choreographer and instructor, further enriching her expertise in the dance world with features in Dance Spirit & Dance Track Magazines. She is honored to bring her professional dance background as a pro to support The Sparrow Clubs Swinging with the Stars.
