Meet Shane & Tammy
STAR: Shane Caito
Shane Caito is impossible to talk about without talking about family. He goes by ‘Caito’ and was born in Idaho in 1971 to hard working parents Carol and Michael Caito. Along with sister (Shay) and brother (Stacy) the family moved to California, then Oregon. All three kids went to high school in Salem.
Caito and his wife Kim are happily married and have chosen to raise their children in Bend.
Caito is lucky to have three biological children Taylor, Amanda, and Aiden and several more adults that consider him “Dad” and are cheering him on in his Swinging With the Stars efforts.
Many cousins, aunts, and uncles that are rooting for him as well.
Caito has over 30 years of bar-tending experience starting in Salem at the ripe age of 21. After moving to Bend, Sidelines Sports Bar has been his home for the last 20 years. In that duration, he has won the “Best Bartender” through The Source Magazine twice. So, he’s quite simply a pro in the bar-tending world.
Caito enjoys our beautiful outdoors during all the seasons. The lakes, waterfalls and mountains are where he finds special places and amazing connections. Caito wants to thank all his fantastic supportive sponsors and especially Sparrow Clubs, for the opportunity to return some positive energy to this community. Caito has so much appreciation for his beautiful and talented pro dance partner Tammy Goen, without whom this would be ugly!

Tammy Goen has always loved to dance. If music is playing, at least one part of her body is moving. After classes in ballet and tap in childhood, her dancing consisted of moving solo to her favorite music until college when she fed her passion with a jazz and modern dance performance group.
She began partner dancing about 15 years ago here in Central Oregon, where she’s lived since 2002, and hasn’t looked back. She enjoys almost all dance styles, from West Coast Swing to Nightclub Two Step, Salsa to Argentine Tango.
When not dancing, Tammy’s other leisure pursuits include hiking, kayaking, camping, cross country skiing and snowshoeing, and she loves to travel and experience different cultures. After the break from Covid, she’s so excited to be on board once again with such an amazing event.
